27th of March, 2010
Converging from all corners of the island, club members turned out in force to parade
their cars, making the event one of the largest club meets in some time. With a kaleidoscopic
display of cars in every factory shade from Nordic Green to Cherry Mica Black, the event
provided a veritable smorgasboard of all things miata. And from bodykits and vortex
generators to superchargers and turbochargers, there was plenty of wallet-busting kit
for everyone to drool over, not to mention the amazing array of exhaust sounds burbling
in the background!
As the cars were divided into sub-groups for the first part of the shoot, the remaining
drivers and partners got to mingle and chat over a simple breakfast spread of assorted
cakes and buns prepared by Mag and Ian. It was quite a classic sight, to see the caffeine
deficient ones amongst us, like James and June, blowing at their hot coffee against the
beautiful backdrop of the Marina Bay shoreline.
I would like to thank my dear friend, Joel Tam, on behalf of the Miata Club, for overseeing
the shoot's art direction and photography, as well as for the design of our new Club website.
I'm so glad he's one of us- now everyone please go bug him
via facebook to join us for dinner sometime! :)
For those that missed the event, do join us for upcoming meets. Promise we won't bite!
